Recognised industry leader
While Abacus Fisheries was established in the mid-80s, the Jecks family began fishing in the Carnarvon region in the late 1970s. Over this 40 year period, Abacus Fisheries has received no less than 12 industry peer awards. In 2006, Abacus Fisheries director Peter Jecks was recognised as an Icon of Industry when he received the Michael Kailis Award. Peter still stands as the youngest ever recipient of this coveted Australian seafood industry award.
